The Coosa Diagnostic Center in Rome will soon become the latest Floyd Medical Center outpatient facility.
Now dubbed Floyd Coosa Diagnostic Center, both Floyd and Coosa announced their agreement Thursday evening. The facility on Riverbend Dr. will keep all the same staff, equipment and services, but it will now fall under Floyd’s Imaging Department.
Greg Polley, Floyd Vice President for Managed Care and Network Services, says the contract was advantageous to everyone involved---most of all, the patients.
“We believe this will provide a tremendous benefit for our patients. They’ll now have flexibility when needing to schedule appointments, especially in an urgent situation,” Polley says. “The center’s location is ideal, and the facility is great. Even more important, though, is that they share Floyd’s commitment to quality service. Our imaging staff is known for providing excellent care, and being able to supplement that care is a key component of this agreement.”
Once finalized in the fall, Coosa patients will be registered as Floyd patients and will be billed by the medical center. Coosa will also receive a fair market fee for providing the imaging services to Floyd’s patients.
