Authorities have identified the victim in Friday’s fatal accident as 18-year-old Hilary Mariah Hobbs of Cartersville.
A Cartersville teen lost her life Friday evening in a single-vehicle accident.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the 18-year-old girl was driving a 2005 Volkswagen Beetle on Hall Station Road last night around 6pm, when she left the roadway. She swerved back into the road and then began to rotate, striking a tree with the rear of her vehicle.
Officials say alcohol is not suspected and the teen was wearing her seatbelt.
Her identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
