Almost 8 months since the fatal shooting of a Rockmart man, a statewide agency is offering a reward for information leading to additional information related to the crime.

The Atlanta Field Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives announced a reward of up to $5000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of those responsible for the shooting death of 19-year-old Desmond Ray Kinnemore (pictured to the left).

Kinnemore was gunned down near the intersection of Morgan Valley Road and Second Street in Rockmart at 10:30 am on January 8 of this year.

According to Detective David Gowens of the Rockmart Police Department, Demon Wilson, 34 was arrested a week later on an unrelated firearms charge, when Rockmart Police found sufficient evidence to issue warrants for murder against Wilson.

Gowens says he is looking for someone who could have significant knowledge of the crime who has yet to come forward.

Anyone with information regarding the homicide is encouraged to contact the ATF case agent at (706) 614-1622.
