Among the businesses hit hardest by Wednesday’s tornado in Adairsville was the Daiki Corporation’s factory which is home to more than 120 employees.
The company is now requiring that those employees attend a meeting at North Point Church in Adairsville this Wednesday February 6th to ensure they’re signed up for unemployment benefits and to get an update on the businesses status following the storm. According to Arlene Dasher who is helping to coordinate the effort, employees can either attend the early session from 9 am to noon or the late session from 1 pm to 3 pm.
The Adairsville Daiki plant, which is a parts manufacturer for heavy land-moving equipment, was directly in the path of the storm, located only about a 1/2 mile from I-75 where the twister crossed at Exit 306.
Despite the building suffering heavy damage there was only a single employee injured during the storm. That employee is now doing fine.
