A Rome man is in the Floyd County Jail after he allegedly raped a female victim Wednesday.

According to jail reports, Floyd County Police arrested 51-year-old Thomas William Ellis of a Wayside Road address on charges of Strong arm Rape and Aggravated Sexual Battery. According to the report, a foreign object was used during the heinous incident.

Ellis turned himself in at the Rome-Floyd Law Enforcement Center and was arrested and transported to the Floyd County Jail for booking procedures.
