Local police made a drug collar in recent days after catching what they believe is an out-of-state meth dealer.

Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston says early Tuesday morning deputies with the Community Crime Prevention Unit pulled over a suspicious vehicle on I-75 in the Calhoun area. Officers searched the car being driven by Joe Travis Griffith, age 43 of Corlyton, Tennessee and allegedly discovered several ounces of methamphetamine in a hidden compartment.

Griffith faces one felony count of Trafficking Meth.

The meth has an estimated street value of $4,000.
