The Rome/Floyd County Government is seeking resident input on what project they’d like to see built with SPLOST dollars.
On Monday, the SPLOST Application Form will be readily available online so Floyd County citizens may have their say on what project they’d like to see come to the area.
But, before you fill the form out, you might need to do a little research. County Commissioner and SPLOST Committee liaison Rhonda Wallace explains the application requires a good bit of detail.
“Just for example, like the Tennis Center,” she says, “then you want how many tennis courts and what other types of amenities would go with it.”
Details required in the questionnaire include outlining the estimated costs for both construction and maintenence along with any potential regulatory approvals needed by federal or state governments.
To get the penny-tax on the November 5th ballot, officials have set a May 3rd submission deadline.
