A Cedartown man charged with capital murder last week in Texas was found dead in his jail cell.
According to KWTX-TV, jail guards found Gregory Mark Currie, age 30, hanging from a shower head by a sheet last Saturday. The Cedartown native was arrested in early May in-connection with the deaths of 30-year-old Thomas Wells and 42-year-old Dorrina Reese, whose bodies were discovered after firefighters put-out a blaze at their Central
Texas home.
Though authorities have not detailed how the two were killed, their deaths were ruled a homicide by investigators. Both Currie and a Texas man were charged with capital murder and arson, while a Texas woman related to the male victim has been picked up for tampering with physical evidence.
Currie was found a little after 7:30pm Saturday and reportedly left no note. The other suspects have been placed on suicide watch.
