Darlington Narrows 'Head of School' Candidates Down to Six

Darlington is getting closer to recruiting a new Head of School.

Since current top administrator Tom Whitworth’s January announcement that he will retire at the end of this academic year, Darlington’s search committee has been recruiting and interviewing potential candidates for the top spot. That search has now culminated in six semi-finalists, who will be interviewed soon in Atlanta.

After that, the committee will narrow the list down to three and invite them and their spouses to the Rome campus for a 2 ½ day interview, where they will meet with teachers, students and parents alike. At that time, their names will be made public.

If all goes according to plan, a new Head of School for Darlington will be named in November.
