A pedestrian was killed early Tuesday morning in Bartow County in what is being described by police as a hit-and-run.
Bartow County Coroner Joel Guyton confirmed the death shortly before noon.
According to a spokesperson with the Georgia State Patrol the victim has been identified as Christina Mae Warner, age 27 of Cartersville who was struck by an unknown vehicle at approximately 12:10 am Tuesday at the intersection of Highway 41 and Mac Johnson Road. Warner was hit by a second car as well, but the driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene to give officers a description of the first vehicle.
The car which fled the scene has been described only as a dark blue passenger vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
