Also - a mandatory curfew has been enacted for storm stricken areas. No one except emergency personnel are to be out between dusk and dawn for the affected region.

HWY I-40 to 53 to Adairsville is closed until further notice, according to Floyd County Police.
As a result of the storm system that passed over Northwest Georgia Wednesday afternoon, major damage has been reported in Adairsville and Floyd County.
According to Bartow County Sherriff’s Office, a confirmed tornado hit Adairsville causing major damage in the area.
Homes are reportedly leveled and cars are overturned. A Burger King and hotel off of I-75 has sustained major damage; injuries are reported. The Yanmar America building is also damaged.
According to Storm Chaser Mathew Cody, who has been chasing this storm since Tallapoosa, downtown Adairsville took a direct hit. Adairsville Grocery is leveled, and installation is reportedly in the trees. Floyd County and Redmond EMS are on the scene.
Cody estimates it was an EF-3.
The Bartow County Sherriff’s Office asks people to avoid the area, as there are injuries, accident, and building entrapments.
