More help has arrived in Bartow County in the large-scale effort to aid victims of Wednesday’s deadly tornado.
A spokesman for The Adairsville Church of Christ announced Friday afternoon that the house of worship has become a distribution center thanks to the charity of the “Churches of Christ Disaster Relief” organization.
Churches of Christ dropped off a truck load of food for victims, totaling 325 total boxes of food items as well as boxes full of personal care items for adults and infants and boxes full of cleaning supplies and tools to help people get back on their feet. Each food box will feed a family of four for a week and contains dozens of items.
Tornado victims can pick up the boxes by simply showing up at the church on Saturday from 9 am until 6 pm or on Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm or from 4 to 6 pm.
The Adairsville Church of Christ is located at 126 Summer Street just off Highway 41 in an area that suffered heavy storm damage.
