Rome Police are currently looking for an ex-cop that, after her recent arrest last week, has allegedly violated the terms of her probation.
Back on January 28th, Floyd County Jail records indicate that former Rome City Police Officer Ambar Monica Valezquez took 500 Xanax pills from Rome Pharmacy on East 2nd Avenue. The 32-year-old woman was arrested last week for the incident and was charged with theft by taking and felony possession of a controlled substance.
Valezquez has since bonded out, and Rome City Cops are looking for their former coworker, claiming she’s wanted for a probation violation related to her most recent arrest.
According to Major Debbie Burnett, Valezquez was fired in October of 2010 for failing to serve a warrant to a felon she allegedly had a relationship with. She is also alleged to have had a sexual relationship with one of her superiors. After an investigation, the man resigned and Valezquez was cited as fraternization is prohibited by their code.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Valezquez, city police urge you to call 911.
