Some strong thunderstorms could be on the docket for Northwest Georgia today.
According to the National Weather Service, a cold front will move into the area this afternoon, triggering scattered thunderstorms. Excepted in the system are gusty winds, lightening and brief, heavy rains. The stronger thunderstorms are predicted to occur between 2pm and 7pm.
Though the rivers are still brimming with this week’s ‘downpour, no flooding is expected. The high water levels are forecasted to keep falling throughout the weekend.
