GDOL to help 2Work Staffing recruit workers in Rome next week

ATLANTA --The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will help 2Work Staffing fill more than 20 jobs with several textile companies in Calhoun and Rome.

The recruitment will be held Tuesday, Aug. 5, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the GDOL Rome Career Center, 462 Riverside Parkway.

The company is recruiting experienced assembly-line workers, creelers, extrusion operators, maintenance technicians, metal fabricators with spray-paint experience, tufting and other machine operators, and welders, along with manual laborers. The company is also recruiting a customer service representative with experience in the carpet industry.

Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. To be considered for full-time employment, they must also have a high school or General Education Diploma (GED).

Salaries range from $9 to $10.55 an hour, depending on the position and the experience of the applicant.

The company will conduct a background check and drug-screening test.
