Polk County residents will soon have a new 65,000 square foot hospital and medical office complex.
Matt Gorman, Polk County Hospital Administrator, told John Druckenmiller on Tuesday’s Hometown Headlines Radio Edition that the new Polk Medical Center is more than 80-percent complete.
He added, “The general contractors tell us that the building should be substantially completed by the end of September, and we’ll have plans to move in shortly thereafter.
The new hospital is located on Highway 278 and will have 12 rooms for emergency patients, two operating rooms and more parking.
The current hospital property will be given to the City of Cedartown.
