Nelle Reagan is the Queen of broadcasting in north Georgia, one of the first women to hold a regular air shift and produce her programs north of Atlanta.
Nelle has enjoyed a career in radio and public relations with a respect for the media and it's impact on communities and the information that it gives to the general public.She enjoys her family .Her daughter Lynne, and son in law Ken, Son Jimmy, and 2 grandsons Nick and David.
Nelle lost her husband from an extended illness April 10th 2014.
The development of interest in radio came when Nelle sang her first song on WRGA when she was 4 years old.. her dad had a little band that played pop music and some of Nelle's favorites of that time. Favorite songs are September song, and songs of Patsy Cline. Nelle Plays guitar and loves all of Eric Clapton's music. She has all of Chet Atkin's music and loves to jam with other musicians- She is fond of Christian Music and does solos in Her Church Wesley Methodist church in Summerville Park.
HOBBIES are gardening, baking, painting , making costume jewelery, singing and writing. Nelle is especially proud of Shorter University. Her son Jimmy graduated Shorter in the 80s playing baseball for the Shorter Hawks. Lynne Studied at then Floyd College later to be Georgia Highlands and participated in the Deaf education program in the late 70s . She continued her studies getting a degree in organizational Management from Covenant Presbyterian College. Lynne now works for the Dept. of Family and Children's services. Jimmy is a musician and and does a one man band act in the Sarasota, Florida area.
Nelle is proud of her family and proud of her work with WRGA as public affairs director. "Talk of the Town" airs each day Monday thru Friday from 12 noon to 1pm... Nelle also produces and hosts a public affairs program that runs every weekend on all 7 properties of RRP,LLC. She loves radio and hopes to work a few more years doing what she loves.
