48-year old Ben T. McCool of Gaylesville stands accused of killing Scottie Eugene Abernathy, whose body was pulled from the Chattooga River on January 29th.
Ben Tillman McCool of Gaylesville is charged in connection with the death of a man whose body was pulled from Weiss Lake Friday morning.
Several State and Local Law Enforcement Officials were in Centre and Cedar Bluff, Alabama Thursday afternoon, executing a warrant.
The home of accused killer Terry Lee McKinney burned to the ground on Friday night on Rocky Ford Point Road in Cedar Bluff, Alabama.
The Town of Cedar Bluff is asking for the assistance of the public in helping to locate the person or persons who are responsible for stealing Christmas lights and extension cords from the town park.
Mark Anthony Babb was jailed on Wednesday.
The wreck happened on U.S. 411 about nine miles north of Centre.
The inmate who died in the Cherokee County Detention Facility on Monday has been identified as 58 year old Michael Lee Caldwell of Benton Missouri.
The death was the apparent result of a suicide, according to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver.

53-year old John Lloyd Ellis was first arrested on July 11th of that year, during a drug eradication sweep, conducted by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.
According to Cherokee County Sheriff Jeff Shaver, four Georgia Northwest Georgia residents were arrested shortly after midnight on Thursday, after attempting to elude law enforcement.
